BACKGROUND

I am a life-long Maryland resident. I grew up in Takoma Park. I married my high school sweetheart and moved to Frederick County in 1990.

Since then, we have had three children and have been active members of our community. Over the last 20 years, I have been a working mom, PTA volunteer, Girlscout leader, and sports mom. Like many parents in our community, I enjoy wearing my many hats!

I worked for Prince Georges County Emergency Services for over 10 years. I have worked as an Information Technology professional for the past 15 years, including 2 years at FCPS central office at Hayward Rd. Those two years in the Central Office gave me rare insight into the waste and mismanagement issues plaguing our school system.

I have seen our schools count every penny and struggle to get the resources they need. It is a different world inside FCPS central office. Central administration has grown, added facilities, salaries and staff, while stifling teacher pay and robbing our children of the resources they need and deserve. I will make it my mission to help resolve this disparity.
